***YouTube recently took down most of the Unsolved Mysteries episodes people posted, so this is post is pretty much destroyed, sorry (although the last one is still up, oddly enough). People are reposting them all the time to YouTube and other services, so typing the name into a Google video search might pull up the episode.***

Several people have told me how much they loved the post I did about Unsolved Mysteries ghost stories. I love 'em too, so here's a bunch more!

Tallman's Ghost

This episode of Unsolved Mysteries actually scared me a lot when I was a kid. I had heard a few times along the line that ghosts might be frightening, but they wouldn't be actively malicious and they're ultimately harmless. Then I saw this episode - so much for that noise! It's one thing to see malicious spirits in a movie, but this was supposed to be real. I honestly don't know how that family stayed there so long. It scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, it kept me up that night and many, many nights afterward. It took a bit of digging to find this and figuring out what the episode was called. It's not nearly as scary to me now as it was back then, but it's still pretty reliving something that scared me so much when I was young and haven't seen since.

Queen Mary Ghosts

My parents took a trip (or was it a tour? not sure what year it was) on the Queen Mary, I remember my mom telling me she'd heard stories like these while watching we were watching this.

Tatum's Ghost

This story, Tallman's Ghost, and the Queen Mary Ghosts were originally all broadcast in the same episode - you can tell by the backdrop of the Queen Mary behind Robert Stack. I remember these stories so very well because at the time I was still so traumatized from the first story. This story is pretty freaky, but at least the ghost seems benign.

Lizzie Borden's House
Even though Lizzie Borden was acquitted of murdering her farther and stepmother, many believe that she was guilty. In any, the house in which the murders took place has been made into a bed and breakfast, complete with decorations accurate of the crime scene. No surprise that it's reportedly haunted. By the way, is it just me or does Robert Stack have a sort of barely concealed contempt when he's talking about the business?

Devil's Backbone

Normally you hear of haunted houses, cemeteries, castles, forests, etc. The "Devil's Backbone" is a haunted section of rugged terrain in Central Texas. I love the guy who says he's going to haunt it after he's gone - now that is a true Texan!

The Entity

Another Texas ghost story. That paranormal expert they keep bringing in for these stories is hilarious.

I should have enough Unsolved Mystery ghost episodes for at least one more installment, so stay tuned...
